State Revenue & Budget

There is too much fraud, waste, and abuse with the Taxpayers hard-earned money.  The State budget of Colorado is over $32 Billion, that’s right billion with a “B”.  The Governor is allowed to present a proposed budget to the General Assembly’s Joint Budget Committee (JBC). The Lopez Administration will  take the effort necessary to craft a budget proposal that serves the best interest of Colorado. It is the discretion of the JBC to determine if any agree or disagree with any line item of the proposed budget.  The biggest problem with the State Budget is the fact that it is a “baseline budgeting system.”
