The Lopez Administration will ensure that the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) is being effectively utilized by the civic institutions that provide financial services such as Banks, Trust Companies, state licensed money transmitters, etc. throughout the state. 

 

People rely every day on these civic institutions, and they play a vital role in building communities and enhancing the quality of life of families living within the communities they serve.  Restoring the quality of life for all Colorado families is paramount in rebuilding communities.  The credit needs of the communities in which these civic institutions are chartered, including low- and moderate-income (LMI) neighborhoods need to be met and not ignored any further.  

 

Small businesses need Lines of Credit once again to get them through the difficult financial times that they experienced when the Governor shut them down without any consideration for their survival.
